BEIJING, CHINA - The U.S. baseball team worked out at Wukesong Field No. 2 on Friday morning as the team continues to adapt to its new setting in Beijing, China. The squad took batting practice and played a few simulated innings as the team prepares for Olympic competition that begins on August 13 vs. Korea. The squad will participate and march in Opening Ceremonies on Friday evening.
In addition to practice, Team USA held its first exhibition in Beijing on Thursday evening vs. China. The U.S. defeated China 11-0 in six innings. The Red, White & Blue and the Chinese played for two hours at the Wukesong Main Field.
Team USA's next practice is scheduled for Saturday evening from 6-8 pm at the Wukesong Baseball Facility. The U.S. and China will play two more exhibition games on Sunday, Aug. 10 and Monday, Aug. 11.
