2B Brian Roberts' Pre-Game Quotes:
On joining Team USA: "It's a great opportunity. It's an honor. I represented our country in 1997 with Team USA in college, so I know what it means to put the jersey on. This is obviously a little bigger stage than it was then, but it's a great opportunity. I'm honored to be here, and hopefully we can go out and win a couple games and move on."

INF Chipper Jones' Pre-Game Quotes:
On his injury: "I just had a re-aggravation of the oblique today. It was a hard decision. I really wanted to play tonight, see if it would loosen up. But you know, it's to the point where it's bothering me just sitting around because I know it's a lot worse than it was first time around in Canada, and I just think I, as well as the brass in Atlanta, think it's probably better that we get back to Orlando and take care of it in-house as quickly as possible."

Manager Davey Johnson's Post-game Quotes:
On the win: "...we're looking forward to playing somebody from tomorrow night's game. It doesn't much matter to me who it is. We've been beaten by both of them, so it doesn't much matter to me."

Notes: INF Chipper Jones was a late scratch on Sunday with a re-aggravated right oblique muscle...he will remain on Team USA's roster but is out indefinitely...P Matt Lindstrom (sore right arm) and OF Ryan Braun (sore right side) were pulled from Sunday night's game and will be re-evaluated tomorrow...2B Brian Roberts joined team USA Sunday afternoon in time for pre-game stretch and batting practice and will remain with the team...the announced attendance for Sunday's Netherlands/USA game was 11,059...the U.S. will next face the loser of Monday's Puerto Rico (4-0) vs. Venezuela (4-1) game.
